Megha Thakur

Dr. Megha Thakur is a semiconductor expert with over 15 years of deep technical and strategic experience driving complex, multi-billion-dollar engineering and infrastructure programs across the semiconductor manufacturing and federal innovation ecosystem. Most recently, she served as the Director for Semiconductor Ecosystem Enablement at Natcast, where she led the launch of the NSTC Navigator platform enabling member organizations to access funding, partnerships, and resources through a centralized system. She also led the development of a semiconductor knowledge management system to strategically capture member capabilities and expertise to enhance visibility, collaboration, and program efficiency across the national ecosystem.

Prior to Natcast, Megha was a Senior Principal at MITRE, advising the U.S. Department of Commerce on CHIPS for America and the National Advanced Packaging Manufacturing Program. In this role, she provided subject matter expertise in semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, emerging technologies, supply-chain resiliency, and semiconductor security. Earlier in her career, Megha held several senior-level and management roles within the Process Integration and Quality teams at Micron, where she led new technology transfers and oversaw the deployment of AI/ML IoT initiatives. She began her semiconductor career at Intel in Process Technology Development, leading tool installations and technology transfer for next-generation process nodes.

Megha holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Southern California, LA, with research focused on power plant effluents treatments. She is recognized for her ability to bridge business and technology, define strategic priorities, manage complex risks, and connect industry, government, and academia to accelerate semiconductor innovation.
